But, Godliness with contentment, is great gain.
My exciting life is filled with many fun activities, unexpected news and so many good things to thank God for.
Firstly, I’VE FOUND AN EXERCISE BUDDY IN STEPHANIE SIM! we went to work out in the gym last thursday. Targeting aerobics with the rowing and biking machine. T’was fun!
Well, I’m extending my relief teaching in Katong Convent for another week. It’s bittersweet. Sweet because I know I’m no longer going to be alone!
Mel’s starting work! or for the matter of fact, already started work. So no more lonely moments in the gym or in the staff room where the radio station FM98.7 is my only companion. hahaha. Bitter because I still struggle with handling the girls. Not that they’re terrible people, but it takes alot of effort and energy just to plan an what-seems-ordinary Mathematics lesson. And it takes more effort than ever to transpose knowledge from my brain to theirs. I thank God, nevertheless because through this opportunity, He has given me the chance to learn patience, in it’s fullest extent. And to reminisce my Kc days. The girls I teach has facets of my KC experience embedded in each of them. There is the loud, the hilarious, the proud, the quiet as well as the weird (not in a bad sense). In them, I see myself. Girls brimming with potential, both beautiful and intelligent, and perhaps, overly-proud sometimes, but nevertheless friendly and personal. A mathematics lesson with 305 on friday proved itself to be highly entertaining. They wanted to play charades because they were so sick of math, so I relented. And they began to act out all the different teachers!- it was seriously hilarious! I hope my remaining week in KC would prove itself to be significant. I know not what to expect, but I pray that God will show me what He wants me to learn and carry out His purpose through me.
Yesterday (Saturday), was brimming with excitement. Elizabeth and I decided to cook for Australian-bound Geraldyne, and the Monthly Club! It was so tiring to just whip up a full dinner with dessert included, but we survived!, and none died of food poisoning!
So we’re good.
Totally enjoyed the time spent with liz while we were whipping up the lovely feast. We decided that we should retire as chefs and set up a cafe or restaurant!
Afterwards, dinner was filled with laughter and entertainment as Mel tried to act out all those weird adverts! (esp, the starhub and M1 one.) We spent the last night together as THE MONTHLY CLUB, as we lose one member (gera) when she leaves for aus on tuesday. “I’m going to miss you.” <– this is an understatement. So please turn on skype AT ALL TIMES and add me!, geraldyne how. Last night’s farewell caused me to lie awake on my bed for a while before I switched off the lights. We’re all beginning our fresh new journeys, be it locally or abroad, It’s the most exciting part of our lives!, as we transition from ladies to women. Each vastly different in character, pursuing different passions, but yet has found common ground in KC.
COME HOME SOON GERA. (okay, I know you’re going to say, I’m the one who’s not coming home right…) I will try to come home too!

Today’s sermon in church left a deep indent in my heart. Centered on the theme on contentment in a world who does not have enough, the message left me thinking. Largely due to the fact that I am going to get my pay soon! So just figuring what I’d do with the money. I know I have alot of things I want to buy, but really, maybe I should be investing the money in something else. And I have a world of ideas, on what to do with the money
I hope that my plans would please the Lord.
I carried Sophia today. For the first time ever since she was born.
Mix-blood babies have got it good. She’s so pretty with blond hair and looks exactly like Agi. She was so friendly in allowing me to carry her without crying, not until she saw too many unfamiliar faces and longed for her daddy or mommy. She speaks in soft tones (making funny baby noises) and loves big teddy bears which she conveniently puts into her mouth (maybe cos she’s teething?) At 10 months, She’s one cute, beautiful and lovely babe. I pray she grows up seeking to know her creator and king better and better.
If there was a cutest-baby-contest in church, i’d vote her.
Okay lah, all the other kiddos in church look cute too, like Nathan and Lambert and Kaylie-mae, the list goes on.
Thank God;
for exercise buddies
for learning opportunities
for struggles I face in school
for good nourishing friendships
for thought-provoking sermons
for beautiful babies
In everything, Give Thanks.
